Privacy Policy

Who we are

Blackbeard is a product of Loot Financial Services Corp ("Loot", "we", "us"). This policy covers blackbeard.ai and the Blackbeard waitlist, including the texts we send you about it. When Blackbeard launches and you connect accounts or use the full service, we'll ask for your consent and update this policy before we collect anything more.

What we collect

• Your mobile number, which you enter to join the waitlist.
• Your consent record: the date, time and wording of the consent you gave to receive texts, plus whether your number was verified.
• Messages you send us, such as replies to our texts, HELP or STOP requests, and emails to support.
• Basic technical information our servers log automatically when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you viewed.

We don't ask for bank details, Social Security numbers or business financials to join the waitlist. Please don't send them to us by text.

How we use it

• To send your one-time verification code and confirm the number belongs to you.
• To add you to the waitlist, send waitlist updates, and invite you when your spot opens.
• To answer your questions and HELP requests, and to honor STOP requests.
• To keep the site and waitlist secure, prevent fraud and spam sign-ups, and fix problems.
• To comply with the law and enforce our Terms.

What we never do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your mobile number or your text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
• We do not use your number for anything other than the purposes listed in this policy.

Who we share it with

Only with the people who help us run the waitlist, and only as much as they need:

• Service providers that deliver our text messages, host the site and send email. They are contractually required to use your information only to provide their services to us.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Loot, our users or others.
• Business transfers: if Loot is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your number while you're on the waitlist. If you opt out or ask us to delete your information, we'll delete it, except for a minimal record of your opt-out, which we keep so we never text you again by mistake, and anything we must keep by law.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages.
• Email support@blackbeard.ai to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We'll respond within 30 days.
• Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under state privacy law, such as the right to know, delete and correct your information, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We'll honor those requests sent to the email above.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Blackbeard is for business owners aged 18 or older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has joined the waitlist, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and change the "Last updated" date above. If we make a material change, we'll tell you by text or on the site before it takes effect.
